What the product is

As we describe it, this is a protein snack made with rich cacao and refreshing mint, containing no added sugar, and tasting like an after-dinner mint. We state it is best enjoyed chilled or frozen, and adds a caution to be careful of your teeth. That caution is repeated formally in the allergen block below and should be read before eating.

Nutrition information

Per serve: 93 calories, 5.4g protein, 8.1g carbohydrate. These are the figures we publish on our collection pages.

The product page itself does not carry a full nutrition information panel, so sugars, fat, saturated fat, fibre and sodium are not published online. For the complete panel, check the pack or contact us on 1300 263 257.

This product listing does not publish a nutrition information panel. The page carries a "Nutrition" heading, but no numeric values appear beneath it. No per-serve, per-ball or per-100g figures are printed for energy in calories or kilojoules, protein, carbohydrate, sugars, fat, saturated fat, fibre or sodium. No nutrition figure is estimated, rounded or inferred here.

No quantified nutrition claim is printed on this listing. The protein and sodium statements carry no gram or milligram figure. Every nutrition-related statement on the listing is unquantified:

• Source of protein
• Low in sodium
• Contains no added sugar or artificial sweetener
• Contains no artificial colours and flavours
• Contains Prebiotics for supporting Good Gut Health and Probiotics (Postbiotic type L. Plantarum) for Digestive and Immune Health Benefits — printed on the listing as a product claim

The one quantitative figure in the product content is a composition percentage, not a nutrition value: the Be Fit Prebiotic & Postbiotic Protein Powder is listed at 22% of the ingredients. Anyone needing exact energy, protein, carbohydrate or sodium values should request the nutrition information panel from Be Fit Food on 1300 263 257 or at support@befitfood.com.au.

Dietary properties

• Gluten free and vegetarian — indicated by the "(GF)" and "(V)" markers in the product name. Our own dietary key defines GF as gluten free and V as vegetarian.

Note that the body of this listing does not repeat those two properties as written-out bullet points; they appear only as the name markers. The listing does not describe the product as vegan, dairy free or keto — and it declares milk and whey protein among its ingredients, so it is not dairy free and not vegan.

Ingredients

Reproduced as printed on the listing:

Ingredients: Dates, Almond Meal, Be Fit Prebiotic & Postbiotic Protein Powder (22%) (Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Prebiotic (Oligofructose), Chocolate Flavour, Cocoa, Stevia, Postbiotic (Lactobacillus Plantarum), Guar Gum, Soy Lecithin), Cacao Powder, Cacao Nibs, Coconut, Coffee, Mint Flavour.

Note that the ingredient list includes coffee.

Allergens and safety caution

Reproduced as printed on the listing, capitalisation included:

• Allergens: Contains MILK, ALMONDS, SOY.
• May contain SESAME SEEDS, PEANUTS, TREE NUTS.
• CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN PITS. CHEW CAREFULLY.

The listing declares milk, almonds and soy as contained allergens, and sesame seeds, peanuts and tree nuts as cross-contact risks. The pit caution is a printed safety warning on the product and is reproduced here in full. No other allergen status is stated, and none should be assumed.

How it fits our programs

This is a snack item rather than a program. It can be eaten on its own or used as a snack slot inside a our program: Be Rapid, Metabolism Reset, Be 1000, Be 1200, the Intermittent Fasting Program or Be Maintenance. Protein balls also appear as included snacks in some our program boxes.

General meal specification, not this item's measured values

we state a specification across its meal range: approximately 250 calories per meal, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrate, and under 120mg of sodium per 100g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. These are range-wide targets for meals, not measured figures for this snack pack. A snack pack is not a meal, so those targets should not be read across to it.

Serving and storage

We state the product is best enjoyed chilled or frozen. It carries a "Serving & Storage Instructions" section, but the specific instructions are not reproduced in the page content, so follow those printed on the pack. Be Fit Food products are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised.
