Clearing out the pantry

One of the biggest step backs can be all those extra snacks in the pantry! 

By clearing your pantry you're removing any additional temptations and giving yourself the best chance to reach your weight loss goals. 

This includes:
- Snack foods such as chips, biscuits and sweet museli bars, 
- Condiments that are high in sugar - opt for fresh herbs and spices instead, and  
- Sweet drinks such as soft drinks, juices and cordials.

Recommended Extras

Our Recommended Extras can provide an easy way to add volume and variety to your Be Fit Food meals, keeping you satisfied for longer and adding additional nutrition. These extras, often plant-based, contain essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre.

Therefore, there are no negatives when it comes to adding Recommended Extras to your meals.

On another positive note, you can also add herbs and spices to the Be Fit Food meals to enhance the flavour.

Also note, the Recommended Extras don’t just add vegetables to your meals, but additionally help get your protein balance right. Protein can help with satiety and prevent muscle wastage while on the program, so make sure you are getting enough of it.

Myth Busting

It was previously believed that gradual weight loss provided the best results in the long-term, but more recent evidence suggests that this simply isn’t true. Rapid weight loss is a viable—if not more reliable—way to not only lose weight, but to keep it off.

Research shows that people who rapidly lose weight within six months are more likely to have kept it off after two years, compared to people who have gradually lost weight. For both short-term and long-term results, rapid weight loss is the way to go.
