Sugar Cubes

Day 6

Everyone has so much to say about sugar!

There really aren’t that many benefits to eating sugar yet most people struggle to do without. In today’s episode we talk about the importance of reversing your insulin resistance and returning your fat storage hormone to a normal level.

Imagination becomes reality.

Ever heard of the saying, 'You are what you think'?
Imagine a certain situation over and again, with you at your goal weight.
How will you feel?
What will you be wearing?
What will be other people's reactions?

Sooner or later you will attract this into your life, provided you don’t let contradictory thoughts enter your mind.
You've got this. You can do it.

Effects of Sugar on your Brain

Knowing how sugar affects the brain can help you avoid unwanted cravings.

Sugar triggers the reward system in the brain and gives you a feeling of happiness, also known as the hormone dopamine. Regular bursts of dopamine from sugar can cause a ‘sugar addiction’, quickly causing unwanted weight gain. It is important to be mindful of ‘hidden’ sugars in your diet that could also trigger dopamine bursts.

To avoid unwanted sugar cravings, you can trigger your dopamine response and get a burst of happiness in other ways, such as exercising, getting some sunshine or even having sex.
