We recommend choosing preferably lean meats as well as salads or vegetables would be your best option. Additionally, watch out for chips, pastas, added sauces/dressings and alcoholic drinks.
If you do eat a meal that is higher in carbohydrate and your body goes out of ketosis, it shouldn’t be for too long as it is only one meal. If you are concerned you can compensate with a fast overnight for 12-16 hours to assist to get your body back into ketosis too ie: a 16 hour fast is to eat between 12-8pm and to fast between 8pm-12pm overnight. It is still important to enjoy yourself socially, however moderation is the key. As long as you continue on your Be Fit program for every other meal that day and the day after, it really should not have too much of an effect. This might be a good place to practice eating in moderation and understanding your own hunger levels.

While you are on the Challenge Yourself 14 Day program you will be provided with 2 weeks of the Be Rapid program. Our Be Rapid program is a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) providing approximately 820-920 calories and around 50- 60g of carbohydrate per day. Our Be Rapid program is designed to induce mild nutritional ketosis, for optimal fat burning and rapid weight loss.
As part of the your delivery you will receive breakfast, lunch, dinner and one snack per day. You can top up your meals with our Recommended Extras Guide that consists of a variety of nutritious (low-starch) vegetable and salad items, protein-based snacks (for your additional snack per day) and low-carb fruit options. Each meal has approximately the same number of calories, so feel free to mix and match as you choose, just ensure you eat everything in the day for maximum results!

When you’ve worked hard to lose weight quickly, you’re obviously going to want to maintain your results! Be rest assured that weight loss from a rapid weight loss program is maintainable when followed by weight maintenance. It is important when weight loss is achieved, an active weight maintenance program is adhered to that supports behavioural therapy, nutritional education and exercise. Not only does alcohol contain additional calories, carbs and sugar, it has an immediate effect on the liver, and pauses your ability to burn other nutrients whilst blood alcohol levels are elevated which may make your body more likely to store your next meal as body fat rather than to burn it off. It is believed that alcohol can negatively impair metabolism for up to 72 hours therefore we recommend avoiding alcohol whilst completing the 28 day challenge.
If you would like an occasional alcoholic drink, it would be best to opt for a low carbohydrate spirit such as vodka with soda water and lime. Another alternative is a glass of red wine as supported by the Mediterranean diet. We understand you can be on our meal programs for quite some time and social events and special occasions arise. It is completely up to you how you would like to approach them. Moderation and balance is key.
