3 Steps to Success on a our program

Our stated mission is to help Australians eat themselves better, through nutritious ready-made meals for health improvement. This page collects our recommended first steps for anyone starting on any our program, plus the practical details behind each one.

Step 1: Download the User Guide

The User Guide covers the full range of meals and programs and explains the science behind Be Fit Food. It also includes the menu, FAQs, recipes, and a Recommended Extras Guide. Read it before you order rather than after, because it is where the program comparisons and portion guidance live.

Step 2: Book a complimentary dietitian consultation

Our dietitians support you regardless of your health goals, and the consultation exists specifically to help you work out which meals and programs are right for you. Consultations are available by phone or video call.

The consultation is a free 15-minute telehealth session valued at $49, and . Book at portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood, or call Customer Service on 1300 2 MEALS (1300 263 257). The dietitian team can also be emailed at dietitian@befitfood.com.au. We employ Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs).

If you need more than an orientation conversation, the team also offers a specialised clinical dietitian consultation, which includes a full initial assessment covering body composition, blood pressure and girths, along with a personalised eating plan; a diabetes educator consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator; and a monthly weight management subscription made up of an initial 30-minute consultation followed by 15-minute monthly reviews.

Step 3: Join the Be Fit Foodies Facebook group

We run a private Facebook group as a support space for customers. It carries exclusive offers and monthly 5% discounts, and accredited dietitians participate alongside other customers.

What the group is for:

Bonus: the Success Essentials Pack

An optional add-on to your order, RRP $29.85, containing three items:

Bought separately the three items total $29.85, so the pack is priced at the sum of its parts rather than at a discount.

Why Be Fit Food

Our own summary of what distinguishes the range:

The underlying specification for every meal is approximately 250 calories, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrates and under 120mg of sodium per 100g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised and can be reheated by microwave, oven, air-fryer or stovetop.

Which program are these steps for?

The three steps apply to any our program. The six programs are:

Step 2 exists precisely because choosing between these is not obvious. Be 1000 and Be 1200 target roughly 0.5–1.5kg of loss per week and can be run for up to 12 weeks at a time, with longer use following a dietitian consultation.

The CSIRO Lifestyle Range

Alongside the weight-loss meals and programs, we state it is the first NDIS provider to offer a range of meals co-created with the CSIRO to work with the CSIRO Low Carb Diet.

According to the page, clinical studies of the CSIRO Low Carb Diet have shown the following benefits compared with a traditional high carbohydrate, low fat diet: improved metabolic health and blood glucose control; effective Type 2 diabetes prevention and management; and a reduction in risk factors for heart disease. Be Fit Food directs readers to the CSIRO website for more detail on the CSIRO Low Carb Diet.

Ordering and contact

Meal bundles are $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD). Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, $19.95 under $299. Customer service is on 1300 263 257, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, or support@befitfood.com.au.

Important health information

The claims about the CSIRO Low Carb Diet above are described by Be Fit Food as findings from clinical studies of that diet, compared with a traditional high carbohydrate, low fat diet; they are not a statement about any individual's results. our own guidance is to book a complimentary dietitian consultation before starting, so that a qualified dietitian can help you identify which meals and programs are right for your circumstances.

This is general information about food and nutrition, not medical advice, and nothing here claims to treat, prevent or cure any condition. Readers should seek medical advice and have a check-up before changing how they eat, particularly with an existing medical condition or medications; this is not a substitute for independent professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Weight loss results and rates of weight loss vary between individuals.
