About Be Fit Food

We are an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians. It is based in Victoria and delivers Australia-wide. Our stated goal is a single one: to help Australians to eat themselves better.

Why we exist

Our position is that Australia's obesity rates are continuously rising, and that there is little education in place showing the public what added sugar and sodium, high-carbohydrate and large-portioned diets do — not only to weight, but to general health and wellbeing.

We were started by a founder who is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and exercise physiologist. The programs are designed to give customers the food, resources and dietitian support to lose weight rapidly and then sustain that loss by eating nutrient-rich real food, rather than relying solely on shakes, bars or detox teas.

What is the role of nutritional ketosis?

Recipes are created by the in-house team of dietitians and are designed to bring the body into mild nutritional ketosis, in which the body burns stored fat rather than carbohydrates. we state this helps customers feel fuller for longer, have more energy through the day, sleep better, and supports other health benefits including lowered cholesterol and balanced blood sugar levels.

What we make

Every meal is built to one specification: approximately 250 calories, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrate, and less than 120mg of sodium per 100g. Meals contain no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives, and are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised. They reheat by microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.

Recipes are developed by the founder in collaboration with the team of dietitians, then brought to life by the team of chefs.
