The meals and snacks from Be Fit Food are designed to help your body burn stored body fat – by switching from using carbohydrates as the main energy source, to using body fat for fuel instead. This process is called Ketosis and Be Fit Food works by transitioning your body into this fat-burning state.
We get into ketosis by decreasing the amount of calories and carbohydrates you eat (or drink!) and when you are in ketosis, your body produces things called ketones. These ketones help burn stored body fat, but in suppressing appetite too!
You may have heard of the Ketogenic diet before, which is considered a high fat diet and produces large levels of ketones in the body. Be Fit Food uses a mild nutritional ketosis rather than the traditional keto diet because evidence shows that weight loss results are the same – whether the ketosis is mild or extreme.
Wherever you are in your weight loss or maintenance journey, Be Fit Food are here to help, and have Dietitians who can personalize the programs to work for you. Dietitian consultations are free, over-the-phone, appointments that can be booked online and you can book these at any stage in your journey – we want to help you feel great again!
There are different ways that Be Fit Food can support you in your weight loss journey, so the amount of weight you will lose will depend on your goals and which program you choose.
Our most popular program is a two-week program, and people lose an average of 5.89kg* over the course of the two weeks. There are also options for people who want to lose weight more steadily, and for those who want to just manage their weight too.
Not sure where to start? Try our quiz which can help you select which program or meal bundle is right for your goals.
There are a lot of weight loss programs out there and we understand it can be overwhelming! Here’s why Be Fit Food takes the cake:
Be Fit Food is Australia’s leading wholefood very-low-calorie-diet (VLCD) meal program and founded by a bariatric surgeon and a clinical Dietitian. They thought people needed a nutritious way to lose weight using real food – an alternative to the bars, shakes and supplements available.
Be Fit Food meals are made from real food, formulated to bring the body into a mild nutritional ketosis to help burn fat effectively. Not only do customers lose weight on our programs, but they also find themselves sleeping better, less bloated, with more energy and improved mental health too. It really is about eating yourself better!
Be Fit Food programs are designed to reduce your calorie intake down to a minimum, while still providing nutritionally balanced meals – with adequate carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals to nourish your body.
Keeping the calorie intake low forces your body to use its fat stores to provide you with the energy you need – both to keep your body working, and also to perform the physical tasks you do every day.
All meals, snacks and programs are very low in calories, but balanced and nutritious at the same time. This means you don’t have to count the calories yourself, can still eat a wide variety of wholesome foods, and provide the right conditions to lose weight.
It’s common to think that rapid weight loss inevitably means rapid weight gain when the diet is over. But research shows us that people who lose weight rapidly can achieve (and maintain!) greater weight loss than those who lost the weight slowly – especially when followed up with a weight maintenance program.
This is where Be Fit Food really helps because not only does the food kickstart weight loss, but you are also learning how to eat well ongoing. We want you to try (and love) the food and learn some healthy habits that will stick with you for life!
We have a whole team to support you at Be Fit Food – from Dietitians, podcasts to listen to when you have late-night munchies, and a army of Be Fit Foodies in our Facebook group who are all working towards their goals too.
Our Dietitians are here to support you on your health journey, whether you want to lose 2kg or 20kg! Consultations are done over the phone and take around 15 minutes. So pop on the kettle, and book a chat with one of our team, to start planning how you can eat yourself better.BOOK A FREE CONSULTATION
