What is a VLCD?
A VLCD is a low calorie, low carb, high protein diet that is used for weight loss or weight management. A traditional VLCD involves limiting your calorie intake to 800 calories per day and consuming nutritionally complete meal replacement products.
At Be Fit Food, we have created a real food VLCD program which provides you with approximately 800-900 calories per day and around 40-70g of carbohydrates. Our VLCD program includes 3 meals and 2 snacks per day and follows a Mediterranean style approach. All of our meals contain approximately 20g of protein, which can assist in appetite management and muscle mass maintenance.
